Navy Getaways Solomons is located in the Navy Recreation Center (NRC) Solomons Island, Maryland and 65 miles southeast of Washington DC, in Calvert County, Maryland, near the joining of the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay. It is one of the largest Navy outdoor recreation facilities and provides the outdoor enthusiast with both fresh and salt-water fishing, boating for everyone to enjoy!
The Navy Getaways lodging options include cottages, cabins, RV sites and tent camping.
PLEASE NOTE: Historic Cottages, Cozy Cabins, and Camping Cabins are ONLY available to rent from the first weekend in May through Columbus Day Tuesday each year. The Contemporary Cottages and the Log Cabins can be rented throughout the year.
The RV sites are located across various areas of the property, in Areas A, B, C, D, F and G.
All RV sites are centrally located to recreational programs and facilities.
All RV sites are back in and provide an outdoor grill and picnic table.
A, B and D Areas offer limited hookup (20/30 or 20/50 amp electric and water) and have grass/dirt pads.
C and G Areas offer full hookup (20/50 amp electric, water, and sewer) and have either asphalt, concrete or gravel pads.
F Area is the PRIME RV FULL HOOKUP AREA, it offers a more a spacious living area, upgraded utility pedestal with lighting and full hookup (20/50 amp electric, water, and sewer, and offer asphalt pads.
ACAMP - Deluxe Family Tent Sites offers outdoor space to setup 3 sleeping tents and has an outdoor grill, fire pit, picnic table and Adirondack chairs. It has an enclosed screened in deck area, which has three round picnic tables that seat 4 people and is located near a comfort station that house bathrooms, showers and a coin operated laundry area. (Closes during off season)
The installation also offers several recreational facilities that include: pavilions, 124 slip marina, fishing pier, swimming pool complex, a beach, miniature golf, driving range, athletic fields, nature trail, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts and fitness center.
The popular Solomons Island resort destination is located nearby and hosts fine and family dining, art galleries, Anne Marie Gardens and Calvert Marine Museum.
