Additional Information

** Directions: Navy Getaways property is located just off of HWY 045 onto HWY 420. There is a large sign at the intersection. The long downhill windy road takes you to the Greenwood Marina and camping areas. All Check-in’s are at the NGIS Hotel - building 3319.
** Reservation Policy Notes:
* Same day reservations are booked by calling the site.
* Minimum stay: 2 night minimum for any reservation.
* Sponsored guest restrictions: Base security rules apply. Must have valid ID to enter through gates. Only certain ID’s may escort guests on to the installation. Please contact the Visitor Center in advance at (812) 854-4521, for additional information.
* Foreign Nationals: Please contact the Visitor Center in advance to obtain additional needed information at (812) 854-4521.
** Pets:
* Pets are allowed in the RV Park and primitive camping locations. For additional details, please call the site directly.
* Pets are not allowed in the cabins or bunkhouse.
** The campgrounds close for the season on November 1st of each year and the new season begins on April 1st of each year. This includes all campground areas: RV sites, primitive camping, cabins, and marina rentals.
**Wi-Fi: This site has zero Wi-Fi. If needed, we do have Wi-Fi located at our café, Lakeview Conference Center, fitness center, and NGIS property.
** Cell phone service: This site has very limited cell service. If needed, there is better cell service on top of the hill before going down to the Getaways location, as well as, a few certain areas around/on the lake.
** Base amenities also include bike rentals, trails and hiking.
** NOTE: Please be sure to verify all policies/restrictions prior to arrival; they may vary based on the installation and/or location. This may affect (but not limited to) certain guest eligibility such as DoD civilians, contractors, retired civilians, sponsors, foreign nationals, etc. Other restrictions may apply.
